Matiax
Essays, ideas and perspectives.
An independent space for thinking about language, culture, belonging and the ways we live together. Writing that begins with curiosity and leaves room for complexity.
About the author
I’m Matías Trejo De Dios. I live in Salem, Oregon, and have worked for the State of Oregon since 1997. I founded Instituto de Cultura Oregoniana and El Grupo ERG, and coordinated the book Los orígenes hispanos de Oregón, published by Western Oregon University.
My cultural work has included coordinating Oregon delegations for academic and institutional presentations in Mexico, Peru and Spain. These were collective projects involving the Institute, authors, researchers and host institutions.
My writing explores language, cultural heritage, belonging and public life. Matiax brings those questions together in an independent personal space.
